Rick,
Thanks for the comment, even if I would rather hear nothing but good stuff we take all comments and concerns seriously.
Not sure why you are having the problem. If this is the Maroon or dark colored blank on the Trailmaster we have an improved version on the shelf now It has a yellow blank and black woven fabric for strength just above the reel seat. It's little more durable and hopefully that gets you back on the water. One other thing to look at is make sure you have all the pieces of the rod seated firmly together and check them regularly. Pack rods can loosen up at the first connection when you are making a lot of casts. That will be the weak spot and if not properly seated that is where it will break when stressed. I had my Trailmaster out this weekend at a couple high lakes here in Colorado and it performed great.

Chris -

I am on my second Trailmaster III combo. I really like the rod, but this is the second one that has just snapped in half below the mid breakdown point. Both times was on a really easy snag, and I hadn't yet pulled very hard. Is this common? Cabela's changed me out the first one, but I am hesitant to replace a second one. Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you so much for the kind words. I too am in love with Trailmasters and have one in both my vehicles so I am always ready. Check out the new models in stores now. All updated for 2010. They are a great comliment to the old classics you have and just as fishy!

Chris,

I just wanted to say what a fine product the Trailmaster is. I bought two a while back at an auction, and have only used one for trout fishing, what a great rod!! The action trout give on a rod like this is amazing, and hopefully I'll get to try it out on some crappie this year.

To be honest, I don't even want to fish with the other one, as it is such a beautiful piece of fishing gear. I'm not sure how old mine are,and I'd like to find out, but it's still nice to find out that there's still some things that are American Made and backed. I've never worried when buying Eagle Claw products, and I hope you guys are still in business well after I have grand-kids, so their grand-kids can use Eagle Claw products.

Thanks!

Gergely,
We do still sell a Trailmaster. The item you had, (Sorry about getting it stolen) has gone through a complete update this summer. It is better then ever and at the same price! We were not shipping Trailmasters since about June to get the new ones in but they are available now and most retailers still stock a Trailmaster item. The new part number you are looking for is TML76SF4 for the spin fly model. If you can't find it you can call out factory store at 720-941-8723 and they can help you out.

Dear Staff,
I had an EagleClaw Trailmaster III spin/fly rod (part number: ZLIII 600), unfortunately i had it stolen.
I bought it at Cabelas, and I want to buy a new one, but I can not find it on the market.
Are you still producing this product?
Can I order this rod somewhere or directly from you?

Thank you for all your help,
Gergely

Jerome - The only way to get an exact fit is to send it in. Trailmasters have a lifetime warranty so for a 15.00 handling charge we will either get you the replacement piece or a new rod!
Ship it to:
Eagle Claw Warranty Center
4245 E 46th Ave
Denver CO 80216
720-941-8723
