Just thought I would forward on a quick update. My partner, Stacey and I won a recent tournament down by Kingston, Ontario on the Bay of Quinte. It was a big one-day event with 130+ teams and some big names up here in Ontario including one you may know “Bob Izumi”. At any rate we narrowly took the win with 20.56lbs of Large Mouth beating second place by 0.16lbs.

On this day I really became a big fan of the Nitro Gravy. All my fish came on Jigs soaked with garlic gravy. I’m sure that made a definite difference. We watched 2 other boats work a small section of shoreline 30 minutes before we got there and I boated a 5.3, 3.15 and a 3.3lb. They were throwing jigs as well…

It’s nice on stage because the tournament director keeps us up there for an extended period trying to promote women fishing. So every time we’re up there we get lots of talk time. We are now the second co-ed team to win this year showing that women can compete with the boys on the water.

Here are the inside tips for your best chance at winning.

1. We need to be able to see the fish and angler clearly. Too dark or too washed out in bright sun won’t help your odds.
2. Make sure both the angler and the fish are in the photo. An old dead trout hanging in mid air is not a winner.
3. Take off the glasses so we can see your smiling face.
4. Keep it clean and have fun.

We pick a new winner every every month and you can enter as often as you like.
By the way what is a “Chomper”? Well to us it’s any fish worth braggin’ about. Big fish, small fish, young or old, every good fish photo has a chance to win.
