Eagle Claw Hosts Company Fishing License Sale Event
April 2013 - In conjunction with the April 1st license renewal date in Colorado, Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle hosted their first annual Company fishing license event by providing a Colorado fishing license to all employees as part of their benefits package.
Over a period of two days, Eagle Claw teamed up with the Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife to host an on site license sale event, the first of its kind for both Eagle Claw and the State of Colorado. Colorado Parks and Wildlife provided a group of trained license agents and the equipment needed to facilitate issuing a fishing license to all employees of Eagle Claw in this pilot program.
Both parties were extremely happy with the outcome. “It is the perfect way to add a great benefit to our employees and to help with our industry’s recruitment efforts at the same time. Our company felt one of the best ways to bring new anglers to the sport of fishing was to take the efforts to heart and start right here with our own employees,” stated Chris Russell, Marketing Director for Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle. “The Division of Parks and Wildlife was very helpful in making this happen by sending out their highly trained team to handle this event.”
“Tyler Baskfield of Colorado Parks and Wildlife said, “This novel idea that Eagle Claw brought to us has spurred a number of conversations inside the Division and we are looking at ways to take this same style of event to other companies based here in Colorado. We can make it easy to obtain a license or parks pass and encourage people to get involved in the outdoors, while providing a great benefit that companies can share with their employees.”
Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle, a family owned company, has been part of the Denver community for over 85 years. To learn more about this event or other Eagle Claw programs visit us at www.eagleclaw.com.
